I think they should have gotten into the playoffs over Clemson but hindsight I guess.

Saban has 5 SEC & 5 National titles in the last 9 yrs, that's a clip of one every other year and you are livid about a COTY award?
IMHO the best job Frost did all year was performing double duty between UCF & Nebraska while preparing his team for the Peach Bowl against a top 10 team that had already beat 2 of the CFP programs. He did a fantastic job and it was obvious his players wanted to fight for him.

I've heard Saban is pissed about this and has vowed to step up his game. Said he feels like this was nothing but a "career award" this year and he was being punished for not winning the NC in 4 of the last 9 years.

I'd say Saban deserved the award if two years ago Alabama went 0-12 and then took them to 6-7 last year, and 13-0 this year.

The frick? Why does Saban deserve it? For doing what many publications predicted him to do preseason? And he was very close to not being able to do it because he didn’t make the SEC champ game?
UCF was winless in 15, made a crap bowl in 16, and won the freaking Peach in 17.
