If youre gonna count 1964 for Arkansas (despite lacking an AP recognition) then you have to count UK's for 1950 and screw it, add 77 too even though we were ineligible for post season play because the ncaa was jealous of our success

Why did you randomly pick baseball as a major college sport?

Because the 3 major revenue producing sports in college are football, basketball, and baseball.

For the record, UF is the only SEC program with a Triple Crown (natties in all 3), and 1 of only 4 programs nationally to accomplish the feat... UCLA, tOSU, and UMich are the others.

UF is also the most diverse in the SEC, with natties in 14 different sports; the next closest SEC program is LSU, with natties in 9 different sports.

Kentucky - Football ('50),
Basketball ('48, '49, '51, '58, '78, '96, 98, 2012)

As much as I hate to admit it, that's UT's title; 1950 titles awarded retroactively 54 years later by some fool with a website hardly count.

Some fans throw LSU into the group with a 1935 basketball championship, but the NCAA did not award team titles until 1939. That being said, UF won the big three in an 10-11 year span. Very impressive.

Why not teams with national championships in 3 of 3 major sports? The big 2, Florida and LSU.

Ever notice how UF seems to be the only school that doesn't claim their non NCAA nationally recognized national championship. Hell maybe we should start to claim the 84' Football national championship. New York Times named us the national Champions that year....Then again No we only claim the real ones.

A&M claims two in football and hung banners.

BAMA claims 5 prior to 1921.

So yeah, give us 1950. We beat #1 Oklahoma to claim it in Bowl game.

That's even worse than claiming one retroactively that's in dispute; there was no such thing as a national champion by ANY selector or poll... they just made one up and awarded it to themselves.

Alabama doesn't claim 4-5 recognized titles. Outside of the joke of 1941, all of our titles are Rose Bowls pre-poll or AP/Coaches titles.

Well, except for the one we're talking about.
