Whatever. Bit sure why everybody is so thrilled about it. Does it really make LSU look that much better or feel that much better?

"Yea! We have a more recent Championship than Georgia!"

I guess it might bother some, but I, for one, just don't get it.

Well that's not true. Basketball turns a profit even at Alabama.

Out of curiosity...because you know a bunch of stuff...my guess is thta it is a very, very small profit? I have always heard Football makes a huge profit....basketball breaks even and all others lose.

Does this sound about right?

Basketball doesn't break even. It makes a profit everywhere, including Alabama.

Alabama, Basketball M
revenues: $15,003,656
expenses: $9,681,264

It's just full potato to say that football is the only major college sport considering that the opening weekend of March Madness is basically national holiday.

Yep. Along with Arkansas, Miss St, and Ole Miss in the SEC.

Who gives AF about SEC Tournament championships? Regular season championships are harder to achieve and really means you're the best in the conference.

SEC Tourneys...who gets hot for 3/4 days
SEC Regular Season Champions...who has the most sustained success over 18 games (basketball) or 30 games (baseball).
