Rest of the SEC is about to learn what it's like to be in a conference with Texas. Where you win a few recruiting battles against them and the "anonymous" tips to the NCAA start flowing.

Easily. Universities providing tax preparatiom help to students is nothing new. I've both used and worked in an SEC university tax clinic for students.
Student loans, scholarships, etc. can get complicated tax-wise, and most major universities already offer services to students to help them get their taxes right. So just have have an NIL Tax compliance officer, and require every athlete with an NIL deal to meet with them regularly. It's really no different than the tax help already offered to students at pretty much any major university, just need one person specifically focused on NIL deals.
Easily? And how are you gonna require they guys to come in on "regular basis?"
How are you gonna prevent someone from spending every penny from a NIL check?
You cant

A&M has set up a process to teach athletes how to deal with NIL. How to "market" themselves, and get in touch with the thousands of A&M business owners out there as well.
There is also the messaging of the Aggie Network. Our NIL presentation is pretty amazing.

But, but, but....that's CHEATING!!!!
The NIL is probably the main reason OU and the fricking t-sips wanted into the SEC. The sips KNEW they were about to get lapped like a motherfricker because of our previously-existing, century-old Aggie network and to a similar extent, OU's network.
NIL works our REALLY WELL for A&M and OU.

I'm sure it is but it still doesn't answer the question about athletes being "required" to take tax services and setting aside NIL
checks to pay taxes.
It's ultimately up to the athlete and the NIL providers

Now go back and look at the other stuff this guy has posted. He throws BS out constantly that is far from the truth.

... the same way you require them follow all the other rules and procedures set forth by the team and athletic department. Team rules and requirements aren't exactly uncharted territory for college athletes.

You can let them know that any tax liability they incur is their responsibility and not the schools, then make sure their PARENTS are aware of it.
You'd be surprised how much mom and dad want to get involved when there is danger of an IRS audit.

And under Saban, never needed to.

The NIL contract is between the athlete and the NIL partner. It has nothing to do with the school and it's not part of the LOI or NCAA requirements. There's zero authority to tell the athlete he's "required" to do something with those funds.

Bama has been doing it for years.
But they know what they are doing, not like the "widows and orphans" fund scheme that LSU runs.....
