Scenario: Auburn beats Georgia but loses to Alabama

LSU proceeds to knock out Georgia as well. Oregon wins out but Alabama blows the doors off of Auburn similar to last year.
Who’s more deserving assuming the powers that be in college football don’t frick up at the top?

well lsu would be undefeated so they would be in obviously

Chairman of the committee is Oregon AD. If it comes down to Bama Oregon, I'm thinking Bama might not get to end LSU's season

More deserving should be 12-1 Oregon, Utah, Oklahoma; 12-1 Minnesota if their loss is to Wisconsin and they beat Ohio State (probably not the reverse but not sure); and 12-1 Ohio State if their loss is to 13-0 Minnesota.
Best, frankly, would probably be Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, LSU. I don’t think y’all are world beaters but I don’t think y’all are clearly a worse team than anybody outside the top 3 and I’d bet on y’all against any of them.

Whether we agree or not, some talking heads on Sirius radio believed that the committee will send a message and reward Oregon for going out of conference and playing Auburn.
Honestly, I think they are giving the committee too much credit :)

Meh...they put them at #5 knowing the team in the 4-spot still had to play #12 on the road, a trap game against aTm and LSU at a neutral site.
They set it up for bama to backdoor in, but they left the front door cracked for Oregon at #6...if they win that extra conference championship game. I also don't think Oregon has a lot of slack to "win ugly" especially if bama blows out Auburn.

I disagree. If Oregon wins out even if it’s ugly they will be a 1 loss P5 conference champion with 12 wins in a row. They are definitely in in that case IMO.
