I know he fricked up 3 different coaching jobs, but he definitely adds a lot of fire and life to the sidelines and outside of running play woes, can call a hell of a game. Not that bad of a recruiter either.

Too much baggage to be a head coach at any big time program. He's better as an assistant where he can be reigned in a little.

Lane Kiffin went 35-21 in four and one half seasons at a no doubt top five program and a pretty consensus top ten program.

That dude could frick up a wet dream.

Kiffin knows how to get the football into his playmakers' hands and now he's a genius.

Under crippling sanctions.

Kiffin was USC's Shula, except they didn't hire him to replace a drunk. They replaced him with a drunk!

He also managed this record during a time when the Pac 12 saw its competitiveness rise considerably (Oregon playing for a title) at the precise time his team was crippled with NCAA sanctions. It's not a fair evaluation of his abilities unless you use that factor to grade him on the curve.

He's had the best record at UT in the past 10 years, too, in only his first season there with a roster that Fat Phil left relatively bare by comparisons to his previous UT teams.

Alabama is the perfect job for Kiffin. Seriously.

1. He has a head coach that will not let the assistants talk to the press. So he cant really stick his foot in his mouth.

2. He coaches top flight talent year in and year out.

3. Team has great leadership run by a proven winner.

Whats not to like about that deal? frick being a HC. do what you love and profit.

When Alabama sucks at OL, QB, and WR this year you guys will be making "Fire Lane Kiffin Pawl" threads left and right.

I still don't understand why he ever left Tennessee. It was a HUGE blessing in disguise for LSU and Les, because the idea of Frank Wilson and Ed O being at the same school, recruiting against LSU was the program's ultimate nightmare.

Not just that, Lane knew a play would be successful against Auburn's reeling defense at the end of the season.

Gump reaction: Look at that gif! He's a GAWD!
