It’s also fair to point out those OM teams were coached by Matt Luke….LSU hasn’t beaten Ole Miss in Oxford against any OM coach not named Nutt/Luke in nearly 20 years. How is that possible?

Walking away is the right thing to do if you are a 50 year old man.
But so is not picking fights on twitter, not running down your former employer who took a chance on you and allowed you to get where you are, not actively trying to sleep with every 18 year old coed you cast your eyes upon, not cheating on your wife, not sleeping with women you know are married, and not burning every bridge you have ever crossed.
Lane loves to do all those things. It seems he can’t help himself. So him walking away is surprising, especially since he tried to pick a fight with that reporter that time.

All of this.
Lane very clearly has some trauma issues that need to be addressed. I think there are some issues with him not feeling like he’s good enough compared to his dad…..or even to his dad. It’s very common for people in leadership positions to sometimes put others in front of their own family.

LSU is such a bad arse institution and Lane is such a bad arse coach. It's curious that he didn't tell him to STTDB.
How shocking - an Aggie is the first to bring up a d*ck in the thread.

I thought his troll game was stronger than that. I would have expected some smartass comment before he walked away

It's your chant, smart guy. Not A&Ms.

He's slowly growing up

I’m not defending some of the things he’s done in the past, but honestly, I probably wouldn’t even know about most of it if people didn’t hang on every single thing he says or does. In the grand scheme of life, it’s really not that important to me.
In this situation, though, he did the right thing by walking away, yet a lot of posters on here are mocking him for it. It makes me wonder how many of these internet tough guys would actually have gotten in the guy’s face themselves.

Because you're removing coaches. If we remove coaches at LSU, it looks very different also.

Nutt
Freeze
Kiffin
All beat LSU in Oxford against decent LSU teams. I don't understand how LSU fans feel confident about beating Ole Miss in Vaught, given the fact that this will be Ole Miss's greatest team, possibly ever
