The legend of Jimbo exists around 2 seasons. They were great. No denying that.
He’s 14-10 in the ACC since his national title. Hardly an indication of a great coach. I’d bet the majority of FBS coaches could pull off a similar record at FSU over that time.

Those two seasons were a guy named Jameis Winston. With the recruiting he's done, for him to be sitting at 5-6 this year even after losing his starting QB is sad.

It's simple dude. If what I've read about Fisher's situation down at FSU is true, and his lack of facilities, why would you even need to offer him $2M more than his current salary?
His salary is $5.25. With your facilities, you should've been able to get him for $5.75 with annual bonuses and raises for performance. Why throw the entire bank account at him up front? If it doesn't work out, you'll be stuck with an expensive arse mistake for 5 loooong years. That's just dumb.
