If you play a A&M or TN or Houston or San Diego State.. the teams that try to "ugly it up" and turn it into a street fight... and you get refs that are going to call it like this, you're going to have to gut it out and hit FTs.

A&M fans frustrated that they are only hitting 50% from the free throw line which is impressive when the guy shooting 50% from the free throw line has taken 10 of them

If we know anything about SEC officials they will call it totally different in the second half.
I think a foul fest generally favors Alabama with much more options to score on the bench vs A&M

I think that even tho some Bama fans get upset with the calls, especially against a team that drives a lot, it still benefits Bama to play teams against this style of play so nothing surprises them later in the year.

Hope Buzz keeps that half court trap...we'll keep 3 guards hit 3's and let you miss free throws. It has worked for a half.

I wouldn't say "on fire". It's around (just slightly better than) how the Barn has shot threes for the entire season so far... miraculously.
