No one on this message board knows how it really went down, just like any coaching search at any school. But that will never stop people from convincing themselves they’re in the know.

I don’t claim to know. Johnson could have been the compromise. I doubt LSU actually failed on too many though. Maybe McDonnell but he seams entrenched. It was just a group of coaches that many had strong feelings about. Many didn’t want Bianco and I think he got a raise or extended about that time. But that doesn’t tell me he wouldn’t have come. Many had strong feelings about Casey and that would not have gone over well. Sully just what you said although there was speculation he really wanted to get out of Florida for that very reason so he was more motivated than normal and also due to facilities. Johnson brought zero drama and that’s exactly what LSU pretty much required at the time.

The umps ejected someone and no one even knows who got ejected. Auburn saves a run by the whole crew missing an obvious balk one inning, then one of the most Ricky tack balk calls I have ever seen gets called on LSU next inning
