That’s the correct call but not sure how I feel about that rule.

Agreed... on both!

Very well played game today, yesterday OM was a bit sloppy.

End of the game, all tied up 1/1 for the series.

Lets finish it out tomorrow. WPS!

GG Hogs! Gritty baseball being played by both teams this weekend. Both teams look like postseason locks this weekend. Hopefully we can play this consistently throughout the rest of the season.

It’s a shite rule.

If hit by the ball clearly in your batter’s box, shouldn’t matter.

That rule needs to change. As long as the batter is in the batter box, then it shouldn't count as a strike.

Don’t really think there was a doubt about Arkansas.

It’s a stupid rule. The pitcher is rewarded for throwing a very bad pitch.

That is the rule to deter players from sticking out and elbow to get hit. If it’s not a strike players can try it and the worst that happens is they just don’t get a free base.

The Arkansas guy clearly stuck out his elbow to get hit.

No the batter is penalized for trying get hit by a ball that otherwise wouldn’t hit him.

No way guy.

This pitch in particular was well into the right handed batters box.

This wasn’t a case of the batter crowding the plate and sticking an elbow over the plate to try and get on. It was a terrible pitch. Terrible pitches should’ve be rewarded with a strikeout.

It looks like @RazorbackBSB’s Jacob Nesbit gets HBP — but the umpire rules he leaned into it, thus a strike and he’s out. The ball was clearly in the batter’s box and he did lean into it. But still, to me, if the ball is clearly in your batter’s box, shouldn’t matter

Who cares where the ball was. The rule is you can not put your arm or leg out to get hit by the pitch. If you do it’s called a strike.

he did lean into it

Good to see that Kendall agrees with me that he did lean into the pitch.
