If you want to see thugs toting guns and fat bitches fighting each other, just spend a Thursday-Saturday night in downtown Austin.
Then wait for the bodies to float up on Sunday morning

Not Siesta Key and Sarasota which is where I live. Nor is it in Destin, anywhere on the 30A, Naples, …
Shall I go on?

You need to sharpen your pencil and make a good post.

Did you skip class on Fridays so you could drive from San Antonio to Austin every weekend?
Painfully obvious.

I love this board.
Anywhere around campus is perfectly safe. Just don't go on the north side of Florida Blvd and you won't have any problems.

I'm a little farther from campus by essen and Perkins and the only issue I've ever had is a dope sick "friend" broke into my truck and stole my stereo shite. Other than that, as you say, no issues at all.

Especially when UTrans’ campus is the most crime-infested campus in the country
I mean, where else are students being murdered by homeless people on campus besides UTrans?

x4 on the Renaissance. I go to BTR every year and stay for a conference there. The Sonesta is a good option because it is so close to campus and Alex Box, but it's likely full/ insanely priced for the Super Regional.
The Renaissance has an interesting bit of history attached to it as well. (not haunted or anything though - for that you'd need to stay at the Myrtles in St. Francisville about an hour north of BTR) Jimmy Swaggart was a big-time televangelist in the 1980's based in Baton Rouge on Bluebonnet south of I-10, back when that whole area was fields and trees. When he was exposed for infidelity and his empire crashed, his ministry was in the process of building a Bible college that included a 15-floor dormitory building. The building was half-finished and sat for decades as a huge concrete monument to his personal fall, right across the street from where he continued to have church services. Then 10 or 15 years ago Radisson or Marriott (can't remember which) bought it and turned it into a top-flight hotel and convention center. Nice place to stay, but if you look at it with that in mind you can see the lines of the original brutalist architecture.
There's a cool bar on the first floor as well.

If that is your asinine view of BR, then just stay home. We don't want you here anyway.
I know you are a troll; just stay where you live with your little boy troll buddies.

For Texas and Tenn fans, definitely Gardere Lane
Quick uber to campus and plenty of food options. Check out Superior Mexican Grill for low cost margaritas and Sammy’s for a quality restaurant that’s held constant for years!

Only sort of relevant, but I just learned yesterday that Karmelo Anthony, the kid that stabbed to death Austin Metcalf, in Frisco Texas, is from Baton Rouge.

Somehow you have eclipsed Harry Rex Vonner, William Taylor, LSUStephen, SemanticTiger, sloflowpro, that Duke guy, and the Alabama pill head that got gofundme banned here. And you have done it in a very short amount of time. I am not often at a loss for words. But I am now. You have truly outdone yourself.
