I went in 2023 just for the final 3 games and had a blast.

Are you a golfer? They have very inexpensive public golf courses in Omaha. I think we played Miracle Hills for about $30 including cart.

Not a whole lot of good restaurants there.

There is a nice casino in Council Bluffs if you like that kind of thing.

I will give you $150 for the pair.
Walkons is crowded and noisy and you are restricted to one location. Go with Best of Zurich; more options with location and food.

She played really well; however, a lot of the credit should go to Aneesah. FSU would double her up down low which freed Smith for the easy lay ups after a pass from Aneesah. Aneesah had 7 assists I believe.

re: Santa or Beaver.....

In order of preference:

CCL
BRCC
Beaver Creek
UClub
Santa Maria
Pelican Point
Greystone
Island
Copper Mill
Webb
Dumas

While I agree Santa Maria could be in better shape, the layout is great and lots of beautiful holes and challenging shots. Listing it behind Copper Mill? No chance.

I usually play from about 1:00 to 5:00, albeit not often on weekends. I used to play most Sunday afternoons and even then, most rounds were 4 hours or under.

I do agree it is very crowded. And BREC refuses to give it a day of rest like a good golf course needs.

I play it regularly; live on #2.

I have not played a round there over 4 hours in 5 years; walked 18 yesterday and finished in 3:45.

The amount of exaggeration of slow play out there is hard to believe.

re: Am I figuring taxes correctly?

If you are not at the Soc Sec cap through your wages, you'll pay self employment tax on your 1099 income after deduction of 1099 expenses.

The only way around it is to form an SCorp for your sideline business, pay yourself a small salary out of the SCorp and take the rest of the profits as distributions free from SE tax.

They keep talking about making SCorp profits subject to SE tax but they never have and maybe never will.
Woodward’s decision to bring this clown back for another season shows he could care less about fielding a competitive basketball team. Fire Woodward and McMahon!
As someone above me said, Peninsula, Rock Creek in Fairhope, and Magnolia Grove in Mobile. Easily the best courses; Craft Farms is good also.

IMHO, Kiva Dunes is vastly overrated.

I sold my CPA practice 20 years ago; I'm familiar with TurboTax. It's a great package; however, every single new client I picked up from H&R Block or who had prepared their own return using TurboTax or other programs, had significant errors in their returns. Each time, I filed amended returns and was able to get my client a significant enough refund to more than pay for their tax prep fee.

I strongly encourage you to use a CPA, especially since you have rental property.

re: LSU basketball student section

Posted by cfotiger on 2/26/25 at 11:41 am
Um, the student section was moved because there were very few students attending the games. I don't blame that decision one bit.

Today's students don't support LSU athletics like they should; they leave LSU football games at or before halftime and they don't show up for basketball games.

I'm so tired of student complaints. They are too interested in partying and drinking. Their entitlement syndrome speaks volumes.

Even last night, quite a fewf students showed up to get the free jerseys and I saw a bunch of them leaving the game before the tip-off. Pathetic support!

I read over and over on here students complaining about the "gray hairs" just sitting and not cheering. At least they show up!

I went to every game as a student and I go to almost every game now.

Students are only supportive when the team is winning consistently.

Not close to being packed. Upper sections pretty empty. Lots of empty seats in lower sections.

Of course not! "They" are incapable of seeing their own idiocy.

Thanks for posting the video; I'm a 68 year old man crying watching that joyous victory.

Who could possibly upvote this? The OP and his bud?
Manning at 6 to 1 is nuts.

Connor Weigman at 14 to 1 is insane.
