Is it the 2007 La Monroe or the 2017 Auburn game? Coaching cost them in both.

Is this a serious question? A loss to an unranked ULM team at home or to a Top 10 Auburn team on the road?

Idk tough

Should’ve been 22-0, not 21-0

I'd go with the Utah Sugar Bowl.

It was one of the few games in the CNS era that the game was out of reach early and relatively non-competitive. It was the one of the few true arse whoopings of his tenure.

Saban's coaching cost us the 2017 game. Shula's coaching/culture cost us the 2007 La Monroe game.

Kick Six was worse than the 2017 Iron Bowl. No doubt about that. Sabans redzone decisions were some of the dumbest shite I've ever seen. Hell kicking a what 53 yard? Fg when you haven't made any all day is one of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen.

The amazing thing about Alabama is even when they do dumb shite, they still consistently win.

Bottom line. He is a Sith Lord and would welcome him. Not the best in game coach but will get you to the championship each year. Anybody that says otherwise is lying.

2007 ULM or 2017 AU

You realize that Saban turned both those games to his advantage.

Saban used the ULM loss to get the great '08 recruiting class. Saban used Auburn last year to get a NC?

You are only defeated if you stay defeated.

It certainly has hurt Connecticut the last two years in Women's Basketball. Sure they go undefeated in the American, but they've dropped two straight final fours.

Sabans with a loss was able to win the National Championship.

I Don't really remember a bad job by him. In 07 we stunk. How he pulled 7 wins is the amazing thing.

Probably the title game this year u could question. Georgia knew what we gonna do and we still tried. He corrected it though.

U gotta look hard to find a game where he was the problem.

He was handcuffed all day. Kicking was atrocious and completely unreliable.
Bama was up 7, ball on the 13 yard line ( 30 yard FG attempt) with 5 minutes and change to go, and he elects to go for it on Fourth and short. Any decent kicker( Bama went 0-3 kicking that game) , Saban surely takes the easy decision and go up 10 there. U don't think it was such a poorly coached game, but a game that whatever decision was tried just seemed to backfire.

2010 South Carolina.

ULM was a teaching moment. He coaches up players and puts them in a position to win. The 2007 players didnt have enough true winners and he wasnt going to baby them. That season and the lessons learned helped cull the losers from the winners and transcend the program forward.

In the Utah game you had a run heavy team lose 3 of its Olineman including its dominant LT and try to move its entire OL around. That bama team was 1 dimensional and when it couldnt run bc of the Oline problems it dissolved very quickly from where it was all season long. Plus that Utah team was one of the best 3 of the non power 5 teams of the last 10 years and isnt given enough respect.

In 2010 we had too good of a team to not find a win to beat a very average USCe team. We lost 3 games that year so its something within that team as well.

ALABAMA DYNASTY

Everyone knew that team would drop several. Lost too much talent. I even remember Spurrier saying in the off season that Bama would likely drop a few the next year because of all the talent departures - and he experienced that several times at Florida. It was no surprise he pulled that upset over Saban - he had a good passing attack and Bama lost too much on defense. Like the 2007 season for Florida, the 2010 season for Bama set the stage for the next year and a dominant national title.

I've been celebrating Saban's 5th National Title at Bama so hard that I forgot we lost to Auburn.

How did coaching cost Bama the 2017 IB? Not playing Tua? That was a 12 point lost and AU fumbled inside the 4 yard line going in for a TD. That game could have been worse but it seemed like AU just controlled it.

Kick Six was bad but it was a very competative game throughout. Cam-back had to be the worst. AU was dead in the water and down 24-0. Bama went conservative and let AU defense settle info the game which allowed that great offense to comeback.
