Saban isn't remaining in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after he retires. LOL
He only stayed as long as he did because he was on top of the college football.

He won't have to in his 10 mil a year "advisory" role.

He also is payed for the rest of his life, if he does not coach anywhere else. So maybe he leaves thr 83 million on the table. And lives off of his dealerships, hotels and the duck commercials. All while becoming a talking head.

or he may accept a position as AD when he feels ready to step aside
I'm not sure that will be anytime soon

Saban is Saban & I don't see him mellowing out. But as one who has recently hit 70+, things do slow down & somethings just get harder & harder. That's called life. And I've never read where he's into working out, exercising as a healthy way of entering old age. I don't think The Bear was ever described as healthy & when he retired, it seems he lost interest in life? Just an assumption from afar. From all accounts, Saban has said, numerous times, that he has no outside interests, golf, fishing, etc.

Saban will leave Alabama exactly when he wants to and for how much wants to. Even if the team starts slipping, he has earned the right to never be forced out.

Rich, highly motivated, type A people don't think like that. He's not going to voluntarily give up 83 million he is contractually obligated to whether he wins or loses, just because he has other sources of income.

Pretty sure most types of people would not leave 83 million on the table.

Coach Bryant coached mostly from his tower. Coach Saban is always involved in practice, he gets his exercise in practice. I’m not worried about his health, I’m more worried about him not wanting to deal with some of our dumbass fans that wants him gone after a 2 loss season by 4 combined points.

Can't see him worrying about fans, safe to assume he's "protected" from the average fan by layers & layers of big rollers & the administration. He has professed ,numerous times, that he's frustrated with all the NIL crap. And that is not going away, he has no insulation from those involved, especially agents.

He isn’t retiring this year but if Bama hasn’t improved next year I believe he will start thinking about. I mean Bama has been right at a razors edge winning or losing games this year. I like Saben myself but every coach has to call it quits sooner or later.

How could Saban really give a shite how much money is ahead of him? He has more than he and his distant descendants (which won’t even be his since his kids are adopted) could ever spend.
It’s probably part of what makes him great, but I have a hard time understanding how anyone could be that singularly devoted to something into their 70s. There’s too much to see and do in this world.

How much does he have in the bank?

Unlike Aggie, Mr Saban will do what’s best for the university of Alabama.

Actually, I think the more likely scenario is that Saban continues to experience success over the next few years and gets another contract extension.
I don’t think Alabama will ever be able to fire or force-retirement Saban without paying a large sum of money.
But more than likely, Saban hangs it up before it gets to that point. Unless he develops some kind of dementia like Bowden did and doesn’t understand the concept of retiring.

He’s not retiring. Quit being a bunch of whiny babies. Maybe appreciate the guy more and trust him given what he’s done for you all

Truth.
He has done a lot for Alabama. It's embarassing to see Bama fans calling for his head. That guy understands the game as well or better than most other coaches. He's not through winning and contending. Once he and every other school learns to better navigate NIL and opt out culture, he'll be back at the top.
