And the ONLY SEC coach other than fired Fat Bert that advocates for a 9 game SEC schedule.

I figured that was the case. Just a lighthearted joke. Our schedule isn't anything close to what Bama has scheduled the past few years.

Other than playing the taterfricks and a NC team anyways

not a single P5 team was available 3 or 4 years ago when the game was scheduled? I find that hard to believe. Maybe not a p5 team willing to play in Tuscaloosa. Maybe go on the road

It's not that hard to believe. Nobody wanted to play us in the 2018 and 2019 openers either, that's why we're stuck with Louisville and Duke.

He said they scheduled Mercer because they couldn't get anyone to play them. So there's that. What power 5 football team wants to play Alabama out of conference in November? Not a single one.

Be the change you want in this world, Saban.

The best way to show the flaws in the system is by exploiting it.

People say Bama is scared to play good teams

Why can't other good teams be afraid to play Bama?

Power 5 should separate

This has been tried before with the CFA in the late 70's/early 80's.

there probably are teams that are scared to play alabama, but all 64 P5 teams? let's be real, Alabama cares about money just like the rest of teams, so they'll play a neutral site OOC and 3 home games OOC against shitty teams

somehow I think you're searching for an excuse as to why they advocate for all P5 teams but rarely play more than 1.

Saban as usual, is right, but people hate him so they reject what he says.

Why should he play by a different set of rules than everyone else?

"I think that the way people are going no-huddle right now, that at some point in time, we should look at how fast we allow the game to go in terms of player safety,"

"I think that's something that can be looked at. It's obviously created a tremendous advantage for the offense when teams are scoring 70 points and we're averaging 49.5 points a game. With people that do those kinds of things. More and more people are going to do it.

"I just think there's got to be some sense of fairness in terms of asking is this what we want football to be?"

Saban advocates for Saban. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but maybe just try calling a spade a spade

You really should go listen to the interview. That is the point, he wants Power 5 teams to play each other in those non conference games. He wasn't talking about non power 5 teams.

Maybe he should lead by example and others will follow. Instead, he does what everyone else does. Plays in a neutral site OOC game that comes with a big payout to start the season. Then, schedules three layups at home to maximize revenue for the season.

Why would they follow? Until the rules change Saban would be foolish to go rogue.
