you realize the only reason he said that this year is because people questioned Alabama's SOS due to the SEC being down, right? If Alabama had played 4 P5 teams OOC and lost 2 of them, he'd be telling us why Alabama should be given the benefit of the doubt because of the schedule they played. This is what Saban has been doing his entire career. He's clearly great at it.

So are SEC teams that go home and home OOC every year (UF,UK,SC,UGA) at a disadvantage?

Those games were not scheduled 4 years ago. We are playing Miami in 2020 to kick off the season in Atlanta. We have proven we are willing to play in big games to open the season. Duke is an anomaly.

Why make it more difficult for himself? take advantage of the system you are in to succeed the most, don't like it, change the system.
