Where would the itch take him other than retirement? How would the move make sense without being an unrealistic stretch, logically?
Maybe the itch would be to move to an island where no other people live. Maybe his ego won't allow him to end his career knowing he failed at coaching in the NFL and he wants to give it another shot. Maybe he wants to move back to Baton Rouge and lounge under those gracious oak trees. I don't know what's in his head and can't say for certain he would or wouldn't leave. I'm just saying that he's not gonna stay in Alabama just because Terry wants to keep tabs on the families she's helped. If he decides to move on, he's a gone pecan.

So far NS has not lied to anyone at Alabama as far as we know in relation to another job. He has all the money he needs..And he has poured himself, along with his wife, into the rebuild Tuscaloosa campaigns..I think he is very happy..I hope he coaches another 10 years and then Bama can go hire Les

That's fair enough, but the point stands. I can't see him making a lateral move at this point. Everything else he's done has followed a logical line of reasoning.
If he does, he does. If he doesn't, our gain.

And, like I said earlier, if he leaves, y'all will end up with another great coach. Kinda like we did with Les.

You don't honestly believe that, do you? PSU? the "we don't oversign & we always renew your scholarship" school from the conference with the same mentality? That Penn St is going to call Nick Saban and get him to come coach in an area that he hasnt recruited significantly in 12+ yrs?
The man is 60. He's in the last 5 years of his coaching life. Those years will be spent at Bama. Just accept it and move on. This song has gotten old and tired.

Dude's lied twice before to media. Why stop now?

I didn't read the thread but there are shitloads of wiggle room in that quote. Not saying he's leaving but that quote means absolutely nothing, Chief.

"as long as I can"
Guys got more outs than Amarillo Slim.

You know Nick Saban is getting fairly old, and will likely retire in a few years. The guy replacing hhim would probably be coach Smart.
I have no problem with this, familiarittty with players, same deffensve schemes, but pobably a more open mindset with the O.

It is really hard for Bama fans to except the fact that we are happy with the Coach Miles and wouldn't trade if we could. I know I sure wouldn't because I've had personal experience with both and Les is at least as good of a coach as Saban and a lot better person.

You should hope he feels more excited than he looks. He looks like he's aged 10 years in the past 4 and looks burned out as hell.

You don't think Nick Saban could have been out for any number of jobs by now? your statment is just wrong on so many levels. In the last 5 years I've heard from people on this site that Saban was leaving for: LSU, OSU, PSU, ND, Titans, Cowboys, Michigan, and WVU. Yet, somehow, he is still at Bama.

I don't think most Bama fans think LSU fans want Saban back. I also don't think most LSU fans want Saban back. I think the vocal minority in both fanbases have perpetuated that thinking, but it is just not the case with the majority of fans on either side.
