The man is also 68 years old. Being the head coach at an university like Alabama is a grind mentally & physically. He has been on the road recruiting nonstop since the regular season ended, preparing for this bowl game, still doing alumni meet & greets & then the bowl game media sessions this week.

Stop acting like it's just the season wearing on him because he is playing 10 freshman. It's way more than that. The man only knows one speed & it seems like that high intensity style is catching up a bit.

This is literally false.

He looks miserable before games, after games, during games, week of games, offseason. Looks unhappy with life. It’s sad. Greatest coach ever but not enjoying it.

Dude is probably exhausted after the run he’s been on over the past decade plus. Virtually no days off and the pressure that comes with perennially being in the hunt will suck the life right out of you I’m sure.

This. It's nothing for a message board poster to make it seem easy but it's a grind that can take its toll on anyone much less someone Saban's age.

12-16 hrs a day, 6-7 days a week at 68 years old is a fricking mental and physical grind. All of those factors are BRUTAL on a body. Then you have life, and life behind closed doors for the remaining hours left in a day worrying about loved ones and responsibilities as well???

Come on y’all..don’t lose all reasonable person sense.

Yeah I go full tard a lot I know so I shouldn’t act like I’m not part of the problem sometimes, but I wonder how many able bodied guys half his age could keep up with his regimen?

He’s beginning to show the wear of grinding non-stop for all those years. It has to have taken its toll.
