I think Alabama can probably pick anyone they want. They have the money, the recruiting tools, the facilities, and the current players for a coach to be successful Day 1.

The USC dynasty was destroyed by the Reggie Bush sanctions. Any team that loses that many scholarships is going to have a hard time (see:96 Miami,13-14 Penn St.)
