The simple fact is he cannot defend against high power offenses that are mobile with a mobile qb or the no-huddle offense. He has failed miserably over the past 2 years even when his team is much better talent wise. Also the offense could have easily gutted Oklahoma and any idiot could see to simply throw screen passes. Both Nussmier and Smart need to go move on and purge the slacker players. For the salary he will make next year as head coach/CEO of this team, he has to make changes now or it'll be a slow decline to mediocrity til he retires.

relax. the offense had 4 turnovers and OU scored 28 points off of them. blame the offense

5 turnovers bruh.....while I agree the D struggled and the offensive play calling was baffling at times, Bama lost mainly becasue of turning overthe ball 5 freaking times.

Bama lost b/c of 5 turnovers. 3 of those were due to AJ playing like complete shite. The play calling really had nothing to do with AJ derping or TJ once again fumbling in the red zone.

I will say that on the defensive side Smart seemed to be telegraphing his calls late in the game and that every time they showed blitz it seemed OU knew to throw a screen or a quit slant to counter.

Nussmeier probably needs to go, but we lost two games this year.

It's not a probably. He nearly cost Alabama the LSU and Georgia games last season. AJ and he are primarily responsible for Alabama's 3 losses in the past 3 seasons. Nuss didn't learn his lesson after the Georgia game like some thought.

Also, who the hell decides which offensive personnel to play? TJ Yeldon should not be the #1 back.

It's a good thing that he wasn't important.

Were you in Section 107 last night? Pretty sure I heard you ranting about this shite two seats behind me.

Or wait, you might have been behind me exiting the stadium. Hell, maybe Saban should hire you. Sounds like you've got it all figured out, bro.

Saban is playing those Bama fans like a fool. keep donating your unemployment checks to the program.

I think it's funny as hell for bama fans here to blame Nussmier for the poor play calling. Nick Saban runs that program, top to bottom & if you think that Nicky could not have made changes to the play calling then you are nuts. If you want to blame the coaches, then start at the top. I am no Bob Stoops fan by any means, but when he was asked this morning about when he decided to go to the no huddle fast break offense, he said he saw the changes coming yrs ago. And built his staff on that offense. Saban is now behind the 8 ball & cann't catch up after waiting too late.Look at the teams who rang up over 600 yards against his previously invinceble defense: all use a fast break offense which totally negates the bama defense's schemes.
