Like he wouldn’t do this in ANY city where he has made soooooo much money and had so much success. It doesn’t make Tuscaloser special... they are just fortunate that this is where the hired mercenary landed.

Seems more benevolent than that bullshite scholarship he endowed to give 5*s prospects' girlfriends scholarships when he first started.

He’s been donating millions to inner city families since 2007

I'd imagine 90% of Tuscaloosa public library's inventory is Nick Saban & Bear Bryant autobiographies. Is Saban just donating another thousand copies of his?

Paving the way for the first tranny story time in the state of Alabama. Nick is just being a good little liberal.

Were I Coach Saban, I think I would request it to not be named after me, but I'm not taking issue with him there. That's a hefty chunk of change no matter who you are. That's a bit more than 10% of his annual salary pre-tax. That's a hefty commitment.

Saban, despite what a lot of us may say from time to time, is a damned good coach and a fine man. He may come off as callous and hell-bent on winning at all costs, but I haven't heard any of his former players sing anything but his praises.

You don't have the kind of success he has had by being a dick wad.

Much respect for Coach Saban for continuing to do so much for not only the university that hired him, but for the surrounding community as well.

Definitely help his tax liability, I'm sure he has some massive income from previous investments. Still a nice guy, I don't think anyone has ever attacked his character.

He also helped build the Catholic Student Union on campus several years ago.

The man and his family aren’t greedy.

The REC gave him $2M to donate. He donated 1/2 of it and pocketed the rest.

After Bama lost to LSU that seems appropriate.

I mean good for him, but why make it public? Just seems hollow. Malzahn did the same shite. To me, it just turns into "look how charitable I am". Just a PR stunt for a cause you might be vested in.

Not a dig on the outcome, just a dig on people that don't donate anonymously. I question what their intentions really are.
