So you're saying we should all just stay home for our own safety if we all want to live to a ripe old age. Let's not put ourselves in harm's way of traffic accidents, getting randomly shot, hit by lightening, etc? I mean an 18-20 year-old's life is worth 17 mil if he wants to live another 60 years or so, right?
Stay home young people - unless you actually want to live life.

Delpit didn't have ankle surgery 2 weeks prior.
Neither did Tua; it was nearly 3 weeks prior and Bama's medical staff cleared him. Three weeks after the surgery, Tua's ankle might've been as strong as Delpit's, especially since Orgeron mentioned yesterday that Delpit is still nursing an ankle injury...and yet he played against both Bama and Ole Miss...
According to Orgeron (after the Ole Miss game):
quote:
"It's tough when he doesn't practice all week," Orgeron said. "I don't know if any other players would have played against Alabama. Grant wanted to play. I thought he did well. But obviously, that ankle is very sore. Not getting reps hurts sometimes. Making tackles in open space hurts sometimes because he can't bend or run like he wants to. We're going to give him a couple days off this week, and hopefully he can get healthy for this weekend."
"I rely totally on Jack Marucci," Orgeron said of LSU's trainer. "I think he's the best in the business. Gives me a report every day. I let the coaches coach, doctors be doctors. He tells me what they can do. 'Coach, he needs a rest,' I'm going to rest him. 'Coach, he's going to play, he needs to play.' We're going to play him, and I'm going to talk to Grant. I talk to the trainer. Then I talk to the player. I say, 'The trainer says you can go, can you go?' If Grant needs rest this weekend, we'll give him rest."
Looks like Saban isn't the only coach that takes into account both an injured player's desire as well as a doctor's clearance before letting him play...

If I was Tua, I’d rather be drafted 13th to a somewhat competent team over the Bengals,Dolphins, Redskins

The injury cost him in his first contract, but if he ends up with Chicago instead of Cincy it was a blessing in disguise.
He still needs to stay healthy, though, so it might be moot anyway.

Saban would play his mother with an ACL tear.
Then he'd have his mom sign a waiver... "Sign here, mom. And initial here... and here. Great, mom! Love ya! Mean it!"

Didn't see a gun to Tuas head

Tua went from a 1st or 2nd overall pick to 13th.
Who is projected in the top 2 now? Is it Burrow? If so, it sounds like he should go ahead and sit the rest of the season out. It worked out okay for Leonard when he quit

Ooooh, somebody said something about his little Tide and hurt his feeling.

So you’re telling me Tua will end up falling to a team like the Chargers instead of being drafted by a horrible organization such as the Bengals or Redskins like Burrow will? Who’s really the loser here?

Saban definitely costs players money by playing them injured. Bama players are notorious for entering nfl with no tread on the tires. Mamas don’t send your kids to Saban if they have Nfl aspirations.

wtf are you talking about? I'm pointing out the retarded logic. I swear to God I don't know how some of you have made it this far in life without wearing a helmet

If it was an ankle injury I could see your point, but it was a freak accident.
Anyone with a basic understanding of sports medicine knows that playing on an existing lower body injury dramatically increases the risk of additional injuries farther up the chain. There's no way to say for sure that this is what happened, but it is clear that he should not have been playing in that game at that time.

Since Tuas hip injury has nothing to do with any previous injury, my question to you is should O be playing Burrow at any point of any future game, considering he may cost Joe a few million bucks?

Orgeron is playing Delpit hurt. If Delpit gets hurt worse are you going to crucify Orgeron?
