Do you think Saban would rather recruit and play against butch or gruden?

This is delusional for a number of reasons:
If you honestly think it matters, get a freaking life.
Please explain what Gruden actually accomplished as a coach with his players he developed? Because he didn’t do shite at the faders or the Bucs
That team that won the SB was Tony’s team that he developed ESPECIALLY that defense. He failed miserably once contractsvhit and he actually had to select and develop talent.
Let him come because that guy is not a great coach. BTW that is why he won’t come besides the fact he has a gravey job. Anyone can analyze film and give opinions. Just ask that Gary Danielson or that bum that does he Bama pbp.

Then why did Tampa Bay fire him and trade their future for Gruden?

Go look at Indy and you’ll see the answer dumbass. Also go look what happened after a couple years at TB.

While the Bucs barely missed the playoffs in 1998, they rebounded strongly in 1999 to win their first division title since 1979, only to lose to the St. Louis Rams in the NFC Championship Game. They went on to reach the playoffs again in 2000 and 2001, only to be defeated in the wild card round each time by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bucs were hobbled by constant changes to the offensive coordinator position; QB Shaun King had to work with three different coordinators in three years. Dungy was fired on January 14, 2002 due to the club's repeated losses in the playoffs. Additionally, owner Malcolm Glazer felt Dungy's offense was too conservative. Dungy thus became the first coach in Bucs history to leave the team with a winning record.

The following season, the Buccaneers won Super Bowl XXXVII, their first (and only through 2016) appearance in the championship game. Though Dungy was fired the prior season and replaced with Jon Gruden, Dungy has been credited for constructing the team.[8][9][10]

Now go look what happened to the Indy defense after he arrived.
Dungy was a great defensive coach.

Tampa won the SB with that defense. Anyone alive then saw that.
Gruden went 12-4 his first year at Tampa. After that he had 1 11 win season - 1. He was run for those shitty years between then and the good ole 2 9-7 meh years.
I followed the Bucs very closely since Doug Williams days there.

We all saw the trainwreck Gruden eventually became both at Oakland and Tampa.

Ok, what did Saban do in the NFL? Im not saying Gruden would be a great hire or anything, but hes still a hell of an upgrade over Butch fricking Jones.

Saban won in college which Gruden never has.
He has a .540 head coach winning percentage.

It's amazing how many people actually think Dungy "built" the team in Tampa Bay.

Dungy was not the damn GM. He was the guy who kept failing with the team in the playoffs. That's why the Glazers not only fired him, but they also traded such valuable draft picks and millions of dollars for Gruden. I hate to break it to you, but the drop off after dumping Gruden was clearly worse than after dumping Dungy.

And if you think Gruden did poorly at Oakland, I see no reason to continue this debate. Especially since you're clearly just pulling shite from wikipedia.

Gruden was 22-26 his last 3 years there. By your logic if Tony didn’t build that team or coaching them up on DEFENSE, which is what I said, Gruden gets no pass on his shitty
.550 career winning percentage.
Give it up. He is garbage and never sustained a winning program no matter at Oakland or Tampa.
He is not very good which is why he hasn’t been a head coach since.
The only coach I’ve seen in my nearly 60 years coach better the second time around after being off for a while was Dick Vermiel. That’s it.
Vermeil won at UCLA before ever going to Philly.
GTFO of here with your wiki. I SAW the games dumbass.

so I could talk with people like you who didn’t follow his career.
What happens is someone 22-26 year old pimpled mellinium comes on here giving this reference or that one and I say, “I saw this player or that one with my own eyes” and y’all will go to google or wiki. I get nowhere in those situations.
You all think you can get what you need from there.
There are so many other factors like injuries to key players, missed draft picks, etc.that play into it.
At the end of the day, did he pass the eyeball test at his only 2 jobs? Not really. He was not even average IMO considering what he inherited.
Saban WON at MSU and LSU.
That’s the difference. Until Saban retires you can bet he won’t consider a job like Tenn. if Dabo goes to Bama, he doesn’t do it.
That guy would need to be fired from broadcasting and going broke before he takes a job where he isn’t guaranteed immediate success.

This is why he's the GOAT football coach. On a slightly off-topic subject, it disappointed me when a former high school coach at one of our local schools who played for Coach Bryant would say the opposite after every game his team lost. It was always the players' lack of execution in every post game interview. This is at a traditionally winning high school program. He lasted 2 seasons.

This guy hates him some Gruden lol.

Saban could sell you a piece of shite car for the price of luxury one. He'd either be the best damn car salesman around or suck arse because he's an a-hole. Hell, probably both.
