Beamer should be but nothing would change plus we don't want Tanner to be the one making the hire.

That had to be one of the most disorganized offensive performances I’ve seen in a while. I had Carolina at -17 and was proven foolish for buying the Sellers hype

He is with the fans, but I doubt he is with the people who actually get to make those decisions. It'll depend on how they play the rest of the season for the people in charge.

He'll probably wait until November to fix anything and next year the fans will have quit on the team. Then we'll start this whole process over with another puzzling hire for 2026.

Sheesh. Out of USCe's next 6 games are

AT Kentucky
LSU
Ole Miss
AT Alabama
AT Oklahoma

If they go 6-6 that shifty puppet looking freak will get an extension.

no...he isnt. All of us expected a tough year. Next year with an Oline that will have veteran freshman, a QB with a year of experience etc should be better. That will be his make or break year.

that said youre asking after a rough game vs ODU. Gamecock fans are notorious for getting in their feels over bad games, so most will say yes.

Barely beating ODU in year 4 should be concerning to USC fans in my opinion.

It absolutely should be, but a win is a win is a win.

If they lose to Kentucky ODU will be writing on the wall, they beat Kentucky Saturday, the ODU game will be a decade ago.

You gamecocks need to have a greater sense of urgency. Beamer has been there 3 years? And what has he accomplished?

I mean yeah, but lets be real. Shane has had one bad season in his time at USC. The schedule this season is absolutely brutal.

As for the ODU issues, a lot of it I believe stems from a freshman QB who just looked nervous. If he settles this offense has more talent and depth than last years offense. Our defense also should be light years better than last years. It was a rough game, but if Sellers gets his wits about him and hits a few of the silly missed throws we will be fine.

I don't like making too many assumptions after week 1, especially if a win was picked up. Now after week 2 or 3 if there are still major issues ill start heating up the seat, but like in 2012 Carolina beats Vandy by 4 (17-13) then goes on to win 11 games and put up more points in every single game we played except UF for that season.

Also...we know VT sucks, but ODU is 2-3 against them and plays them close. The sun belt is the sun belt but those teams play P4 teams close all the time.

He took over a 2 win team and won 7 and 8 in his first two years, picking up 2 top 10 wins in a row. . Last year was a set back but we had 11 injured offensive linemen.

It's not alabama standard but no one is going to come into SC and win at an Alabama standard in their first 4 years. Not even Spurrier did that. It took time. Last year sucked, being a tackle away from 6-6 and a bowl game, but I believe 6 wins was the vegas prediction, and the first two years he well exceeded vegas

Beamer is a D2 coach at best, his name alone got him the USCe job

He thinks he’s the smartest guy in every room he walks into when he’s usually the dumbest.

A year ot two ago, he bragged that he could beat up every coach in the SEC. What kinda fool talks like that?

I'd say Beamer's seat is going up in flames.

If so, then South Carolina fans are dumber than they look. That would be a remarkable accomplishment considering they walk around screaming about how much they love cock.

South Carolina- please take Ryan Day. Or maybe Brian Kelly. Any Irishman who is severely overrated at football coaching will do

I've always felt Beamer was in over his head. It was a head scratching hire and outside of a two game stretch where Spencer Rattler played out of his mind, it's still a head scratcher.

Beamer wanted the job. There aren't many who do. Tanner hired a guy who really wanted to be here, and had history on Spurrier's staff. Rightly or wrongly, that experience mattered.

The problem with Shane is that he has a really high opinion of himself, that no one in the coaching community shares. He's not an elite ST coach, he's not the CEO he wishes he were. And when he has a lackluster coach on his staff, he's indecisive.

His seat is very hot. He lost two or three games last year that he just flat out gave away. This year looks atrocious, and it's Week 2.

The other major issue is that no one in the fanbase trusts Tanner to make his third kick at the HC can. We have to replace the AD before we can realistically get a new head coach. We're staring at the abyss.

Because of this he will lose games he shouldn’t and win a few games he shouldn’t either

He fits in well in this case, that’s classic South Carolina football there.

Beamer isn’t the answer but they’ll give him more time. At least another year. Tanner is a disaster and I hope (naively) that they aim to replace him first before the next football hire.

What would your prediction be if Miami played at South Carolina instead of Florida?

I’d say it would be pretty close to the Florida score, if not worse. Definitely a cripple fight between Florida and South Carolina though. Thank god we don’t play each other, it would set the game back a century.
