So your complaint is that UGA was still playing hard in the 3rd quarter?
Up that many points, yes. They could have taken their foot off the gas and coasted to victory. Ya'll would have been equally as happy this AM.
Celebrate and enjoy the victory. Ya'll earned it. I'm just trying to give you a little perspective.
And for the record, when my OWN team took a similar beatdown from UGA, I did not make the assertion I'm making in this thread....

That, to me, would have been much more humiliating, especially when it turns out TCU couldn’t really stop UGA’s reserves running the ball.

For next years rankings unfortunately teams have to do this.
It football and a game.
It not quit at a certain point to let everyone have a trophy.
It is not UGA’s fault that TCU is that bad.

For a lot of players, that game was it. It was the pinnacle of their football career. How are you going to tell those players to take a knee for half a game?

Oh shut the frick up pussy

you coach still doesn't get the most basic aspects of sportsmanship.

You don't have to. You also don't have to call 30 yard pass plays with your starters in up 5 touchdowns.
Ironically, I turned off the 2nd half of the game to help my middle-school aged kid write and essay on Empathy, a topic a good deal of you on here could learn something about....

Why'd Beamer run it up with his starters against Tennessee? That was fricking sexy!

Again, did you watch SC's defense play this year? They were awful. I'm not defending how beamer called that game, just making a point.
Scoring a lot of points isn't nessiceraly running it up if the other team is scoring lots of points as well. It's a SHOOTOUT, not a BLOWOUT...

No, you're desperately trying to find fault in what was as close to perfection as you can get.

Again you call up by 30 points.. 30 points a shoot out? 42-41 was a shootout. The Tulane vs USC was a shootout

I’ve got no problems with it. One of my complaints is Saban often plays mercy ball when he knows the game is won. For once I’d like to see Saban put the pedal to the metal and floor it for 4 quarters. Usually he doesn’t let his backup qb run the full offense and just hands off the whole 4th quarter.

Congrats UGA fans on the championship, but for all his football acumen, you coach still doesn't get the most basic aspects of sportsmanship.
We held to score down all year long and all we heard was we were weak and could not win big. We win big and now we are classless and have no sportsmanship. Never mind that Bennett came out of the game with 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

First, it was 25, not 30. Second, it was a back and forth game until Tennessee's best player got injured. That was when and where the gap in the score developed, not the end of the game. Additionally one of the last scores was on a short field, and the other came when Tennessee turned it over on downs yards from the SC endzone. Tennessee scored last on a 4 play, 75 yard drive. They were fighting til the end.

At what point does it become running the score up?
For instance...is 63-38 running the score up?

So, it was 63-31 before their last drive, but that is ok?
You doubled their score in a high scoring game?
You don't think TCU was trying until the end?
Dude. You seem to have a case of the hypocrisies going on.
And don't even think South Carolina fans were not bragging about their beatdown of Tennessee.
Don't get me wrong. I think the whole Rant was happy to see it. But don't come on here and lecture us about running the score up and class.

Again, this is a semi-valid point. I think the answer is at what point is the game no longer in doubt? If you're running your full offense at full speed, then yes, it's running up the score.
The main difference here that I can see is, that in regular season games coaches are still going for "Style points" (for a variety of reasons). This was the last game of the season, for the trophy. Prove yourself just 1 point better than your opponent, and the prize is yours.
Let me also pose this point, what happens if 1 of the SR. star starters on UGA's team get hurt in the last game up that many points? What about their NFL prospects that could potentially evaporate for no real reason at all given the circumstances? What then?

Its the national championship game.

Our 4th string running back scored two TDs, rushing behind next years offensive line, while being handed the ball by next years qb. Our freshman dl sacked their qb.
Not sure what we were supposed to do.
