I heard the same thing...gonna run the wishbone all first first half. I would very much hate for and Indiana coach to get wind of this and them prepare to defend wishbone ; )

Proctor gonna channel Johnny Davis at fullback?
I think I remember something about him never having a negative play his entire career. Possible?

Alabama doesn’t have a quarterback capable of running a wishbone offense. Mebbe a play or two, but every team could do that … no big deal

I wonder how many posters are around today that know how the wishbone works? QBs first read? 2nd read? Etc.

My football teams ran a wishbone from 7th grade through 10th. A well run wishbone offense is truly a thing of beauty.

Did you know that Bryant learned the wish bone from Darrel Royal and Emory Ballard at Texas?

Are you saying that Alabama owes it's success to Texas?

Yeah...because of the # of quality RBs on their roster.

PS- did I mention the SUPER blocking OL we've got?

If I am not mistaken, he finally lost a yard in a 1977 game against Vandy his senior year. I was 20 years old. I do have a recollection of that. But yeah, he had never lost a yard.

Arkansas was a year away from having Matt Jones at quarterback Peyton Hillis at fullback and Darren McFadden and Felix Jones as the two halfbacks. Could’ve been the best wishbone backfield ever.
