I'm glad Congress is handling the important things so the the states can be empowered to deal with the lesser important things like securing the border.

Honestly, this is one of those things the courts can handle better than congress. Now we could end up with big doners getting the rules they want instead of decisions in the name of fairness to individuals. Fairness to athletic programs is simply not important when compared to natural rights of the people.

Great. So all the whiners who loved the status quo and want it to continue are gonna get together to whine more at a Senator.

This will be a non starter.

I will agitate against any system put forth by Nick Saban. He's one of the major causes of all these problems, so I will be against him being part of the solution.

having him sit on this committee is like having Joe Biden craft a 'solution' to the border problem.

no thanks.

The "student athlete" moniker needs to be dropped and players need to pay the schools from their NIL/Social Media monies, and pay taxes on any and all revenue they make. No more pell grants, etc etc. The schools should have more value in their brands than a teen player does. Eventually schools and local businesses, that arent using NIL to buy players, should catch on to this, and should start flipping the table on recruiting.

There should only be 2 options....a player can take their chance on their NIL value as a player or be a traditional scholarship student athlete. No switching in their 4 yrs, unless early graduate. Let schools decide the type of players they want to field.

Unfortunately the Pandora's box has been smashed open and we are seeing the destruction of what many of us have known as CFB. Like it or not CFB has been fundamentally transformed.

Either way, things need to be reigned in with new rules for all to work with and be on the same page. That's the problem with saying Congress shouldn't get involved, and let the courts handle it. Going the courts route will just keep muddying the waters when some kid doesn't like something and some sham lawyer takes it to court for some know nothing judge to decide, and not understand the implications.
