They’ve overreached massively.
He overreached because there basically is no NCAA and with no NCAA there are no rules in general. He's trying to basically make the SEC the NCAA within their own bubble. Comply or be dealt with.

Getting caught in a power grab and then suing everyone is definitely a great look.

Every member pisses the conference off at one time or another. Would Auburn have been kicked out over the Cam situation? Florida during the latter Urban years? A&M a few years ago when Saban and Jumbo got into it?
They didn’t, so obviously the answer is no. The process was the same then as now. The SEC never even considered expelling those teams. That shows you how badly LSU has handled this.

I dont know how he survives this when the dust settles.
There has to be other members who are thinking exactly what we are.

how can you prove this tho?
If Sankey doesnt have some evidence and had the attorneys claim it he's a complete moron because itll be obvious in federal court.
If Sankey didnt have it why would he expose himself that way and why would we be hearing about 11 schools ready to vote for sanctions?
Occams razor tells me they have enough to force LSU to bend the knee or run to court again in which case it could easily go nuclear.
Thats enough for me tonight, hope none of this comes to pass.

I stated IF the conference believes Kiffin did that they have grounds for sanctions. They say in federal court they have it. They don't need it to enforce their rules unless your courts get in the way. Or you can leave.
So your argument is that the SEC can just say that it has proof that Kiffin is the mastermind behind the entire lawsuit movement and that's enough to remove LSU from the SEC?
Okay. Good luck.

If LSU is going to use courts to infringe on the conference enforcing rules you will be voted out.
Sherman Act. Antitrust violation. Government-imposed fines and prosecution. Prison sentences for SEC officials and Presidents of SEC member institutions.

Its that simple.
Yep.

But understand the more of this posturing people see the fewer supporters you will have and it wont be your choice either way because it threatens the viability of the entire conference.

You need to read the lawsuit again.
All the the allegations against LSU are based on media reports. The SEC doesn’t have some smoking gun they’re waiting to bring out.
They literally took every rumor, substantiated or not, threw it all into a lawsuit and claimed that it was proof LSU has lost control.
It’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. It’s like a conspiracy theorist suing the government for chem trails.

Sounds like it was the member schools’ decision…

why is this not being talked about more?
they basically compiled twitter posts and went to court.

That means he has to drop nuts on LSU who called that into question and gloated about it
And this premise is false. LSU did not sue the SEC. Players sued the NCAA.
How am I supposed to take you seriously if you can't even get basic facts right?
It's Trinidad Chambliss who started this back in the spring by suing for a 6th year, then adding the SEC to an injunction.

LSU dragging his arse to BR court for 3 hours absolutely wrecked that dude. He walked out of that court house ready to burn the school to the ground.

Sankey, and the "SEC" in general, is terrified of becoming what happened to the NCAA.
This whole thing is a microcosm of what the real problem is and thats that there are no rules really until the federal government fixes all of this shite.
And the SEC's actions towards LSU mean that nothing the SEC wants will pass through Congress.

Because everyone is so enamored with them beating Kiffin and LSU, that they aren’t actually paying attention.
I won’t be surprised at all if this suit is tossed out in the next couple of weeks.

Why is the media not acknowledging that the most viral story in sports right now is only a story because it's driven by media bullshite?

Texas still has open spots for that reason.
But ask Ross what happens when our congressman start an investigation into removing all federal funding from all remaining SEC schools. They don’t have to have a reason either

And that's just if they're being nice. If they're not nice, all these presidents that have had lots of words for LSU lately may find themselves facing hefty fines and prison sentences.
