The awards are jokes. It’s a popularity contest. It’s evident by the number of Bama players on there.

Stats aren't everything my guy. Achane was our entire offense for most of the year and he had to do it against 8 man fronts b/c our QB play was so poor. He also missed two games w/a bad ankle vs Auburn and UMass who he absolutely would have torn apart so those extra yards and TD Sanders have on him really aren't that big of a deal.

If you don't play the games, you shouldn't be considered for first team All SEC

Achane was the best back, but I agree it should go by production.

I was just curious. I know Achane missed some games. Was hoping he didn't suit up against LSU. Preserve that leg for the combine.

Missed it. I just looked through yards from scrimmage on cfb stats and when you look at games v. FBS, games v. SEC, and games v. Power 5, Achane has a little bit better production per game. Maybe that was the difference. Most of the difference in production is due to Sanders big game against FCS opponent.

ETA: if anyone got screwed it was probably Judkins.

Amazing to me that Achane was that close given the way or line played.

Had better stats than Sanders or Achane. Not sure what the apples to apples comparisons are against SEC opponents

The difference is that OM and Ark ran up players stats against their cupcake opponants.

A&M barely hung on to win (if we were lucky enough to win). ZERO stat padding for Aggies this season.

But he didn't... And because he didn't another guy had better season production then him. The best part of ability is availability. That's a notch in favor of sanders

I’m surprised by the lack of receiving numbers for Achane to be honest

Almost every pass play to Achane was like the defense knew it was coming and he was hit immediately. No schematic creativity to get him the ball in space.

Achane was honestly the best back I have seen in a long time. He was just playing behind a shite OL in a shite offense. Had he been in even a remotely competitive offense he could have put up legendary numbers IMO. On top of that, he’s an outstanding kid who plays the game the right way and works his arse off playing 2 sports.
