He was one of those often forgotten, but vitally important background players that fully bought into the Jackson/Jordan show and made the Bulls who they were.

I remember him well.

RIP

Happens way more than people realize.

Had an extended family member die from a fall on the same day that Ace Frehley of Kiss died as the result of a fall.

Doctors told his immediate family that they see it all the time.

So close to a natty in 1988. Championship is Kansas was tied 50-50 at halftime and Kansas pulled it out despite OU beating them 3 times in the regular season.

This is sad news...

The two centers that anchored OU's '80s glory days are now gone.

Wayman Tisdale and Stacy King. Both really great college players...

Both really good guys on top of that.

He was never very good.

...as a pro.

His best season was with Minnesota.

Except Stacy King played in the Big 8.

He was pretty dominant and amazing to watch (although I mostly hated watching him due to my allegiance) Those late 80s early 90s Big8 years were some of the best.

Stacy King quote - "I'll always remember this as the night Michael Jordan and I combined to score 70 points" (Jordan had 69 points).
