I just told you. We’re hearing he was shot in Birmingham. I’m from Mississippi and have friends that went to school with him

Can you at least add that to the OP?

Hate to hear this. Haven't read through the thread and don't have any insight as to what happened, but I loved watching that kid play and he had an All SEC Name. RIP De'runnya.

gosh that sucks. In the middle of the day during a work day too. Are these people not at work or something? Or was it workplace violence?

Wow ?

I don't understand the issue here, what's so bad about asking if it happened at work or not.

Because he’s not asking if it happened at work, he’s insinuating he should’ve been at work even though not everyone works the same hours

Talented kid. Should've never declared after his Junior season. Probably a terrible take, but you don't just get knocked off minding your business, be it Birmingham or anywhere else. I'd be shocked if this wasn't drug related.

RIP, Bear. He was fun to watch.

Everybody picking on chief or whatever his name is. For asking if it happened at work or home.

And nobody says shut about what I quoted above. C9me on now.. You want to talk about a fricked up thing to say, just look above.

That is also fricked up. But he also posted that at 2am

So...it should be obvious why nobody has called that out yet

Damn thats crazy. I remember in 2014 and 2015 when he played LSU. I kept thinking who the hell is number 1. We couldn’t cover him.

He only played football his senior season in HS if I recall correctly. He was a basketball player and was a two sports player at State. Mullen recruited him as a WR because he was taller than anyone else on the field. He never had the “hands” to play receiver. He worked hard at it though and made some awesome catches in the 2014 season.
I'm thinking he was Alabama's Player of the Year in basketball coming out of high school. I always thought his short football career would have benefited by another year at State before trying the draft waters and the fact he wasn't drafter probably proves that. Who knows how his life might have been different with a little more experience.
This inner city violence is way the hell out of hand.

On a better note, Bear’s mother set up a go fund me acct so she could give him the burial he deserved. Her initial goal was set at $6000. It’s currently at $26,500 bucks. So many people are wanting to give towards his kids future that it was suggested that she raise the goal so more people can donate. She is blown away by the amount of money raised and the fact that people want to be sure his kids are taken care of. A memorial service will be held February 1st.

Typical of an Ole Miss fan. You obviously didn’t know shite about this guy.

Sadly that comment is typical of this board and entire site in general when it comes to situations like this, not just of ole miss fans. That's actually tame

By all accounts Wilson was a great dude. I wanted him at AU bad back in the day, I remember actually hoping we would miss on higher rates guys that year just so we would have room for DeRunnya. He was definitely one of those local guys you can't help but root for even when they don't end up at your school

I'm sorry, but word of mouth on a anonymous website isn't good enough.

FWIW, I heard the same thing on the radio. It was a sports talk show host for the local ESPN affiliate station.

That was around the time this thread was posted.
