Don’t underestimate this. It was New Mexico State players that took down the NCAA football video game for 10 years now.

What "compensation" are they referring to? I could see if the cost of tuition was considered compensation but the Ivy League doesn't have athletic scholarships.

Honestly, players unionizing might be what saves college football. To get control of transferring / NIL / etc you need a players union so there can be a collective bargaining agreement put in place.

So dumb. Hopefully smarter people will get involved and realize they aren't actually employees.

Then college football just needs to become the minor league of the NFL.

Will universities go broke paying pensions like the automakers?

We need to go back to regular students competing on the athletic teams. No more athletic scholarships. Everyone who competes has to gain entrance to the school the same as the rest of the students. If you make the team you get free food.

Taxpayers subsidize universities. Anything taxpayers subsidizes only gets larger

Good, I hope it all burns to the ground.

Only way to start over at this point.

You don't know anything about unions or their practices apparently. Unions are basically organized crime. They won't help players or schools. They will only enrich themselves while destroying the sport.

They are 5-14, 0-1 in conference. Already performing at union levels!
