What do your daughters need that isn’t available in Norman, OK? Serious question.

Maybe private schools, I guess.

Don’t you know it’s every father’s dream for their girls to grow up in Los Angeles, CA?

Better opportunities? That guy is from Muleshoe fricking Texas. Norman and nearby OKC provide more opportunities than he ever had growing up.

I forgot Norman was that close to OKC.

Lincoln Riley is a colossal douchebag. I can’t blame him from bolting when OU is about to join the SEC since he won’t be able to win with ease here. But to do it in this fashion is just awful

There is no easy way to leave any school. It’s just a gut punch when you realize you are not a destination job for all coaches.

Not many schools can say they have never had a coach leave on their own, UGA, Bama, AU, LSU ( oh wait), Tennessee ( oops), you know what I mean!

Lack of tornados to start with. Nice weather, and private schools to end with. If you have money, LA is amazing

That the team found out when the rest of us did, thanks to an ESPN tweet is beyond fricked up.

Brian Kelly did the same thing when he left Cincy for ND. "You'll hear it from me first."

Well, I've always heard you can get STDs, drugs and hookers in LA fairly easily. So his daughters have that going for them.

Well he's the first OU HC ever to leave for another CFB job.

And Bama's had a HC leave multiple times for another job (Bill Curry, Franchione).

I have no idea why he wouldn’t just be a man and say “I believe this is a better opportunity for me and my career as well as my family. I made this choice. I appreciate all of the work and effort you guys have put in but this is what I feel is best for me and my family”

Done. Yeah it may piss some players off but that’s far more respectable than crying and saying it’s your daughters are the reason you’re leaving

Tubberville leaving in the middle of dinner with a recruit is the trashiest way someone has left for a job IMO

Really ?? Fran doesn’t count.. and Curry left beacuse he didn’t get a raise and wasn’t allowed to hire assistants anymore.

Taggart used an Oregon donor's private jet to take the FSU job.

Blame it on your family and it becomes easier to recruit the same players you basically just dissed
