I think the committee wanted a matchup where Michigan could get beat.

This is not an all time great team for Bama, but Milroe is a playmaker and they have a defensive front who can wreak havoc at times.

They may have struggled at times, but of the teams they picked from it likely came down to who the committee thought might beat Michigan.

Human element means to let bias into the equation.

The bias was applying logic that valued head-to-head. Bama would have been in under the BCS model and Texas out.

Obviously this is hypothetical conjecture, but how many of you truly believe that if FSU had Alabama’s schedule think they are undefeated?

100% FSU could go undefeated in the SEC. This is the weakest SEC lineup in years. Let's start with the fact that FSU beat LSU without knocking Jayden Daniels out of the game. Also, let's set aside that Bama lost by 14 at home to Texas.

What were Alabama's toughest games in the SEC?

A Texas A&M team that gave up 48 points to Miami?

An Arkansas team that lost at home to a bad BYU squad?

A deeply flawed Tennessee team that had 3 SEC East losses?

An Auburn team fresh off a 21 point loss at home to New Mexico State?

Then, you played us, but we have glaring weaknesses at defensive line, inside linebacker, and the offensive line. Those weaknesses play into FSU's strengths.

The SEC just isn't that strong, top to bottom, this year.

Human element means to pick the Top 4, which considers the entire body of work.

The Bama defender clearly stepped out of bounds. Maybe if the game hadn’t already been decided…

And I don’t remember the refs causing Bama not to score. But that 4th down pass Isaiah Bind didn’t catch but the referees said he did pretty much caused Bama to score.

“Ever since the interception that was taken away from Petersen and LSU, the SEC and its referees has controlled the outcome of games and the season to make sure that BAMA is in the big bowls whether BCS or playoffs.“

I love how LSU fans forget that Bama’s D had LSU stifled and unable to move the ball in the 4th Qtr of that game. Even IF they had called it a catch, LSU wasn’t winning that game. Same this year. They act like DTs hit stopped them at the goal line 1 point behind with 1 second to go. Bama was in control, as evidenced by the two previous possessions. Bama was two touchdowns ahead but “they cheated.”

Refs and Bama cheating is the way LSU fans cope with their program’s inadequacy.

It’s really sad but comical how it’s evolved now to an obsession with everything Bama.

Couldn’t enjoy it more!

Defense is much better. Auburn game was about scheme and misdirection. UT and Auburn stand alone in all games played (See UGA game)

Bama isn't even top 30 in any run-defense categories, so no, those are not standalone games. Also, we're now talking about Bama playing Michigan, who I'd hope you'd agree has multiple RB's and a better OL than Auburn lol

The system is rigged for a few schools like Bama, Michigan, Texas etc. These schools could field a poor product and referees will get them to the post season where these committees behind close doors will get them into the dance. It’s been a beauty pageant not won on the field. It’s been the eye test not the performance. The big schools, networks etc like it the way it is because of the money.
