But but we had all the A@M fans telling us they didn’t pay for anyone … if the ad admitted it …. NCAA has some grounds to punish them for using nil for recruiting .

Well if it came Rick Neuheisel it must be true!

In reality, A&M spent around $3.5 million on NIL for the 2022 class. It has been documented many times. You LoSerU fans believe everything you read and hear. The University and Bjork do not have anything to do with NIL.

Nice poker and billiards analogies. But WTF are you talking about? Are you saying Texas will be left behind when it comes to NIL?

He said 50 mil for NIL like it's ok for the school to "pay" the money.

My understanding was that NIL was supposed to come from outside entities without the school predicting and knowing the amount the student received based on their image.

That's basically admitting to direct pay for play like Alabama's been doing with Dodge Challengers and Chargers all this time.

Listening to his morning show on XM, he said he has it on good authority from a group of AD’s that are friends with Ross Bjork. They asked Bjork if it was true they really spent 35 million on that 2022 recruiting class. Bjork said that was false, they spent 50 million. Only to go 5-7 and 7-5. Wow.

I heard on a local talk show this morning that a SEC QB who had a pretty good season so far was being courted by his school to stay for one more year and the sum that was being tossed around was $2 Million. That shite is OOC. There is NO WAY it is sustainable. I would strike while the iron was hot like any one would but it is all going to end horribly sooner than later...

Obligatory:

Remember the time they gave Eric Dickerson a gold Trans Am only to have him go to SMU who then got given the death penalty shortly after he left?

I do....

You guys can take all the shots you want at Texas A&M but next year they will beat McNeese and Bowling Green.
They are going to put a solid team on the field next year now that Jimbo has left. I honestly do believe Elko is the answer.

why would he brag about the money spent after the results?

between that one class and Jimbos pay/buyout since 2022 they'v spent 150 million dollars to go 12-12

It's definitely high when they can come in to Louisiana and cherry pick some of the top players and get them to pass on LSU which has had tons more success while also shutting Bama out of prospects from LA who was LSU's biggest competition recently.

And on another note some of those players aren't even looking to transfer back to LSU with coaching change.

That tells you what NIL is all about.

Why do you think Saban is pissed? He used to be able to go into Texas and LA and get whoever he wanted. That well is drying up keeps bama in check somewhat.

It's not a coincidence that LSU has to battle Texas schools in recruiting more than Bama these days

It did not go bankrupt, idiot. A&M's legal department fielded outside opinions that cautioned against the organization's structure, so the school wound it down and channeled NIL through other vehicles.

That is a bit different from funneling cash payments to Rhett Bomar through Big Red Autos of Norman, OK.
