Milroe is built like a linebacker...with 4.4 speed.
Probably isn't worried about taking hits.

There’s a reason Neuheisel isn’t coaching anymore, so…
I expect Neuheisel knows a little football. But it doesn't take a genius to realize that if Milroe can't be effective running the ball... then Bama is going to have a hard time winning.
And it doesn't take a genius to realize that Georgia better pay attention to that fact.

I haven't watched much Tide football this season, but if there's a better halftime adjustment than what Georgia is doing, I haven't witnessed it yet.

I'm in the same boat... I haven't watched much UGA football this season.
However, I will offer up the TN game as proof that Bama has been pretty solid with halftime adjustments

None of these guys run a 4.4 40 like Milroe does
King is certainly a 4.4 guy

I'm not claiming Milroe will rack up yards on the ground... but this statement is a little off-base.
As I noted, since McClellan is injured, Milroe will
become more of a stand alone runner.
Not exactly a wildcat, but linebackers are going to key more on gap integrity. A few Georgia analysts think that Georgia will stunt more than usual.

But if he has 30 yards of open field in front of him, will he elect to turn around and run back to the line of scrimmage to attempt a pass?
Once you cross the line of scrimmage you can't go back and throw. It becomes an illegal forward pass at that point.

georgia will spy milroe and force him to make good reads downfield/
basically the opposite of what LSU did except for the first drive of that game.

UGA D is terrible at forcing turnovers. Hopefully that holds true Sat

georgia will actually make him play QB and not RB. he's not going to run wild like he did against LSU.

“Both teams gave up over 200 yards rushing to Auburn. Both teams did,” Neuheisel said on Inside College Football. “If you look at the Auburn quarterbacks against Georgia, they combined for 128 yards, Payton Thorne, Robby Ashford, 128 yards, 16 carries. That’s the only running quarterback Georgia really faced this year.”
This is pretty lazy analysis because it just looks at stats. Where UGA struggled w/ auburn's qb runs was off of designed runs, counters, etc.. not much from drop back scrambles or dynamic play from the position.
Georgia is strong enough in the backend that they'll be able to pull either an athletic linebacker (Allen) or a safety down (Tykee / Starks) to spy and limit those scramble runs that are off script.

Saw an interesting Milroe stat (SIAP if I saw it here). He has only 3 TD passes that are less than 15 yards. His average TD pass length is 31 yards. Also, the vast majority of his TD passes are down the middle of the field. To me, the real strength of the UGA defensive backfield are the safeties (Bullard and Starks), which may help us defend the deep ball even better.

They will definitely take a page from the Auburn playbook and use a spy but that will only free up our WRs though.

Nope
"King was a highly recruited quarterback out of Texas. He ran a verified 4.5-second 40-yard dash."

Milroe ran a 11.5 100m dash 4 years ago. Is he elite speed or not?

And a 4.64 40 however people keep saying he has 4.4 speed.

Spying a qb means you're playing a man down over the rest of the field. And Milroe can make every throw, he's just inconsistent/makes poor reads at times.
So let's say Bama runs a 11, 20, or 02 package out of the shotgun. Spying Milroe and covering the RB's/TE's if they all run routes isn't possible, you literally don't have enough players available. And the routes will be designed away from the area the LB spies, so it's not like he can cover both roles. I guess one of the ends can try to pickup the RB on a swing route, but that's going to leave the C gap wide open for Milroe
You really need to run Tampa 2 against Milroe, but that requires a 4-3

And Kirby has traditionally not used a spy.
