Rick Barnes will retire at UT.
Nice job by his agent to try & get him a raise though.
The guy is 5-10 years from retirement. Wife is a UT alum & her family is from Knoxville. His family is right over the mountains in NC and he's about as Appalchian as you can be. Prick would be like a fish out of water in Los Angeles

No way Barnes leaves Tennessee. At least not by choice. This is probably his agent trying to get his boy some more money

It’s going to take something like 25-30M for 6 years to keep him. Will UT pay that?

When certain college basketball programs come calling, you answer the call and take the job.
UCLA is one of those programs.

Wouldn’t be good at all for VOLS. No spin. Need stability. Have to imagine Tennessee would turn to a Steve Forbes if this happened. Very good friends with Fulmer.
