He just won the Naismith Coach of the Year Award today. UCLA's AD would do well to aim for him. I don't think he's going anywhere though. He's originally from NC and his wife is a UT alum. The West Coast is awful far away when your family is right here.

Dan Mullen wasn't approaching 70 and leaving both sides of his family behind in Starkville. Completely different set of circumstances.

LOL. This would be great. Tennessee doesn't deserve anything nice. Mostly because of Serraneux and Vols&Shaft.

UCLA used to be that program. Not so much anymore. Cost of living and the tent people make LA and other big cities not so desirable.

No, I don’t think they’ll offer it, but I think that’s what UT needs to do to keep him. UCLA comes calling is pretty big.

I think Barnes stays but it would be the most Tennessee thing ever. If we hired Steve Forbes I would be ok.

The UCLA fanbase is pretty ignorant to their actual position. They’re not UK, UNC, or Duke at this point. They in a worse conference. They don’t seem to be sinking the resources into their program as others. I think barnes would be able as good as they could do and even then they may not be able to pull him away.
