Called out the A&M fans for “overrated” chants. Said post game that that chant takes away from A&M’s win which is sad bc we’re a good team, and someone needs to teach the fans not to do that. “If we are overrated, what does that say about their team. But they been doing that (calling Barnes overrated) for 25 years. Maybe you should write it and tell them.”

Those chants made me think I'd missed us being promoted to number 1. But if TAMU insists that they failed to get a good win tonight, I won't argue.

I’m tired of dumbass comments like that. First the horn coach says horns down is classless, then an ex-horn coach goes on a rant that calling his #6 team overrated is classless, and tells the media to make sure to write it.
Move over LSU, I guess the Aggies are just a bunch of shite talking classless fan base during a win, ready to fight at Sonic too.
I guess from now on, we will go to the games, sit quietly and play without saying a word. Buzz should apologize for offending Barnes, and scold the crowd if he hasn’t yet. Good grief.

He coached against the worst teams in A&M history. Once things got turned around, A&M was a thorn in his side, he always bitched to the media about A&M yells, and A&M ran him off. By the end, not even Kevin Durant could help him win in B/CS.

When A&M beat him at Texas a few years ago with a clutch shot by Acie Law he complained when we said Sit down bus driver. Called us juvenile. Asked what’s next. Watermelon watermelon rind. Look at scoreboard see whose behind.

If I recall correctly, the 12th man did a special "watermelon rind" yell on his next trip to Reed...and he was a good sport about it.
I'm not a fan of the overrated chants, but it's college basketball. Harassing the opposing team with goofy chants is part of the game. Whining about it makes you appear thin-skinned and petty. Guess that's why he was a good fit at tu.
