Khris Middleton is expected to receive a 5 year - 190 million dollar deal

Pretty good cake for a guy I've never heard of. Is that what they are paying in the NBA? Wow.

I don't think so, and the injury issue is the main reason why.

Cam's a great example of why you don't take a dual-threat QB in the NFL. You start out with some success due to the physical talent, but that fades over time and that style shortens your career

So you didn't watch the NFL last year then, or are you just dumb?

Cam just had his second best year passing and he played the last half of the season with a bum shoulder. For th first time he's got a real OC who knows how to properly use him and develop his passing, a decent OL, more than one decent option to throw to, and a pro bowl caliber RB to take the pressure off of him and carry the load in the run game. His passing numbers are only going to improve from here on out (most great QBs only get better once they enter their 30s) as from this point forward in his career the emphasis will be on his arm first and not his legs.

It's going to be nice to take the last bit of wind out of his haters sails over the next few years as he continues his March the Hall of Fame

Probably a troll against the Aggies, but Middleton is legit. His game isn't flashy and defense is his strongest attribute which is why somebody who doesn't watch the NBA wouldn't have heard of him

Sounds right.

That said, I’m curious what Brandon Webb’s contract looked like when he won the Cy Young in 2006. He may have had something comparable because of MLB’s insane contracts.

Pistol Pete Maravich

Atlanta Hawks signed him to a ground breaking contract at the time.

$1.9 million

I think, and I think it was the first million dollar contract in the NBA.

This shouldn't count. He was at Blinn Junior College when Auburn signed him to that contract.

Al Horford just agreed to a 4 year, 109M contract with the 76ers. So probably that one.

Just saw his Celtics contract was a touch larger.

For fun, if you account for inflation, the $63M extension Emmitt Smith received from the Cowboys in 1997 would be over $100M now.

Al Horford landed with the Boston Celtics in 2016 on a four-year, $113 million deal; he played the prior nine years with the Atlanta Hawks.
