Though not total contract value, I was surprised to see that Trey Flowers (#57) and CJ Mosley (#82), both Alabama natives and SEC alumni, were so high on Forbes 2018-2019 highest paid athlete list.

I am not sure but maybe Cam Newton. I know his next contract will be massive.

John Wall for Kentucky? 4/170

I would think Shaq had a bigger contract than Bregman’s at some point but too lazy to look it up

I added Shaq. He signed his well before anyone else on the list. Pretty impressive.

Wall is on a 5 year, 85 M deal.

Peyton Manning - $247 mil. It made him the highest paid NFLer in history at the time.

**Edit: This is inaccurate (see posts below).

I think you're looking at career earnings. I believe his largest was 5 year 96 M with Denver.

Josh Donaldson is making $23 million from his contact with the Braves this year, granted it was only a 1 year deal

I imagine when Cam’s contract runs out in 2020 he’s going to sign an enormous one assuming no catastrophic injuries.
I don't think so, and the injury issue is the main reason why.

Cam's a great example of why you don't take a dual-threat QB in the NFL. You start out with some success due to the physical talent, but that fades over time and that style shortens your career.

Matt Ryan at Atlanta is 4 yrs older, and nobody's talking about replacing him yet. Cam, the questions are there and he frankly might retire.

Man that dude has made some serious cheddar in his days. I think his first contract was 55 mil or close.

5 year 85 million for CJ Moseley would be my best guess for Alabama. Justin Thomas may end up making more over the course of a career than anyone.

Cam will retire when? He just turned 30 last month. His contract will end in 2020. Are you saying he’s going to retire at the age of 31?
