He obviously overachieved this year. Everyone acknowldges that.

Does that raise the bar for next year?

If he has the same season again, 9-3 in the regular season, would that be satisfactory?

I troll yall a lot, but this is a legitimate question.

Yes.

Progress isn't always linear and Kelly is still building the program.

I expect 9-3 again. Not near being rebuilt and we still have some pretty big holes. 2024 is my judgement year

expectations are to win the SEC and then a National Championship. same as always. this year they came up short. don't expect that next year. if Miles or Coach O can win at LSU, then Brian Kelly should have no problem.

I don't think withholding judgment to 2025 is bad.

What you don't want to see on the interim is Elementary coaching mistakes.
Nothing speeds up negativity like rookie mistakes.

I said 2024 was when I would pass judgment. But I think 9-3 or better should be the expectation next year. He brought that expectation on himself by overachieving.

Legitimately, why don't you pick on someone else.

It's hard to say until we see the final roster after spring camp. This team had massive holes on it in 2022. Last night and today, we plugged some of that on the defensive line and at defensive back, but we still need some help there, especially at linebacker. We signed 3 good tight ends, and have 1 great TE returning, but I'd still like to see a transfer. We need to upgrade IOL. Whether that's from transfers or just the guys we already have taking the next step up, either way works.

We can sign as many players as we need and want to. Freshmen are great for the future, but some key transfers could make this 2023 team an SEC winner. I expect them to come out the gate hot and beat FSU. Schedule sets up nicely after that. I expect 10-2.

I was always expecting 2023 to be a 9-3 season. 2022 was a 7-5 expectation.
Like people mentioned, this was a full rebuild essentially. We are still lacking depth in key areas that are being masked by transfers.

2024 will be the judgement year. LSU should challenge for the SEC West yearly, winning it at the minimum once every 4 years, including a SEC Championship and run in the playoffs.

Anything less should be considered underperforming. After year 3, 10 wins should be the floor.

I said it after the Tenn loss,Ole Miss win and Alabama win—we are two years away. He needs two more years of recruiting to get to a point where he has “program wins”. We don’t have the talent or depth to beat a decent team on our bad day. Alabama and Georgia can beat decent/good teams even when they don’t play well just bc if the depth of talent in the program. Coach O lost that in March 2020. It will take this recruiting class and one more to get back to there.

2024 I expect to be in serious contention for a Natty. Should be 12 team playoff by then so I expect to be in it.

9-3 headed to a bowl game would be a good season in Year 2. I think Year 3-4 you would hope to contend nationally, at least in one of those years.
