This is where the refs need to approach the call in a "what's the best way to determine this as a true football play in the moment" vs the way they always do, which is "can we justify our targeting call in any way?"

I love that ruling. The foul has nothing to do with the play. The penalty should be imposed after the result of the previous play.

Late hit is always a dead ball foul. Just doesn’t usually matter unless it is on 4th down.

See this is what I like about the running clock. The team who deserves to lose will probably lose. In the past, they would have been saved by having extra time.

Agree, I am a fan of the call. I don’t know what the announcers are talking about. The play was over when the hit happened. Clemson had already turned the ball over on downs when the hit happened. Clemson wasn’t on offense anymore. The announcer doesn’t understand that.
