He has entered the portal. Accounted for 50 tds, 3600 yards and only 6 ints in 2018. Also wasn’t Kendall Briles at Houston with him? I actually like KJ Jefferson as a potential good starter for Arkansas but King would be a huge get for the hogs IMO.

If only there was a forum to talk about such things...

Surprised UGA didn't pursue King.

His skill set would work super well at Auburn IMO.

Not sure we were ever in consideration - I like Newman for us as a transition QB better though... King would have required wholesale abandonment of our current approach (which isn't terrible) but then likely reverting backwards one year later as no one on campus is similar to him (which would be terrible). He's also 5'11"... I think he's electric with the ball, but behind a larger OL like we've amassed, that might be a problem?

Is LSU not going after him?

Is the plan to stick with Coley and run the same offense, or is Kirby looking to pull a LSU and find a passing game coordinator to bring in to work with Coley to change up the approach/scheme a bit?

Not sure. The only thing I have seen on King was a ticker on ESPN saying Arky was a possible landing spot.

I’d be surprised if he ends up at Arky. Ever since he announced he was redshirting, everyone assumed Oklahoma. Who knows.

I doubt that.

Rattler has already sat a year, if they try to make him sit another he may hit the road.

If that happens, you have to imagine Rattler will transfer out.

EDIT: Yeah, what Sidewalk said!

We're in the hunt for another offensive coach but everything has been kept under wraps so no one really knows. The hot name right now is Monken, former oc with the Browns.

I hear ya. Do you think Kirby will wait until after NSD to announce any changes?

Would be good for him to pair back with Kendall Briles. Arkansas would obviously love to have him.

Auburn would be the best for both parties if Gus would be willing to sit Bo for a year.

Gus ain't sitting his legacy QB. Did you see him yank Joey Gatewood's arse off the field and back on the sideline while Bo was struggling terribly?

There is no telling. Last year that’s what he did but he hired from within for the OC/DC positions.

King wasn't in the portal when UGA got Newman.
