So Sarkisian not going anywhere. Price for some of the "next hot thing" G5 coaches just went up

He apparently turned down the interview with Auburn because of this.

Keeping Sark around might even extend Saban's career. Saban will never be hands-off, but having a trusted lieutenant should make his life a little easier.

3.5 mil for a coordinator?
Bama will do whatever it takes. Crazy

Who's better off today...Alabama paying Sark $3,500,000 to stay, or Auburn paying Gus $21,500,000 to leave?

Who's crazy? Which is the smarter business decision?

If Saban retired this year I would hire Napier. He could turn out to be a Dabo type coach.

I mean he could, but he was also fired by Dabo and Saban had several chances to promote him and he did not

That would be crazy money for an assistant, but he is worth it.

I doubted it at first too, but he said legitimately, so I think he's telling the truth.

Who in hell actually thought that Sark wasn't just trying to renegotiate his deal?

Look at Nebraska; let go of Solich in 2003 and haven't sniffed a Championship since. The Barn is headed down the same road.
