I cant believe some sec fans and fans of SEC teams wanted to add FSU and Clemson anyways.

Notes taken.

As I said when the Pac 12 started disolving, I don't think the SEC will expand unless it means more money or at least equal money for each SEC team.

I don't think that situation currently exists with any other teams besides Notre Dame right now. I don't think the conference will grow in the near future.

This just kind of says the same thing.

According to CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd, the Big Ten and SEC are not looking to add top schools from the ACC anytime soon.

It is all about TV markets.
Unless the ACC voluntarily dissolves no one is going anywhere, at the present time.

If and when the SEC expands the North Carolina and Virginia TV footprint will be prime expansion territory, no doubt.

I don’t believe a word any of these assholes say

I can’t believe y’all actually listen to these assholes.

Zero doubt in my mind the SEC will go and poach UNC and UVA for new markets and massive brand names. Imho it’s not that Clemson and Florida state aren’t great brands but it ain’t new territory

Edit: when they do, who knows. But y’all are insane if you think sankey isn’t eye fricking UNC and UVA

Yea, it's all bullshite. Sankey can say whatever he wants because he is in a position of power and also realizes the ACC members are trapped for now due to their grant of rights. So what good would it do him or the SEC to say "ya know, we'd love to have UNC in the conference"?

From what people say, it isn't anymore. With things going to streaming, it's more about number of views in terms of interest from fans, not a matter of a market you bring that influences how much you charge a cable provider as a network offering the games.

I'm not going to pretend to fully understand the math about adding teams... I just believe that teams won't be added unless the math means that all the existing teams get more money each year by adding a new team.

As things stand right now, I'm of the opinion the only addition from outside the Big 10 that would make SEC teams more money is Notre Dame.

As it's been presented on here:

FSU/Clemson = bigger name brand
Viirginia/NC = new locations

Which is the better decision?

The best decision is none of the above.

SEC is now the only healthy conference that makes any sense geographically. ATLANTIC CC nearly added Stanford and Cal. can you imagine?

Dang, they are right. No broadcasting company wants 2 of the top 10 brands in the country. Bud light would hire whoever said/published that in a heartbeat.

The ACC dead as soon as enough schools can work out deals with new conferences to vote to end the conference and terminate the GOR in the process. The SEC and Big Ten were happy with their current membership until they weren’t.

I think Texas and OU fits our profile.
OU has great fans .
Texas will be a good future rivalry game for us Vols.
