So, if it happens soon...who ya feeling Tiger fans?

I'd take a swing at Luke Fickell. Then another swing. Then another.

If he says no 3 times, I'd see if Franklin was interested.

After that, I'd just promote Napier from the minors.

I wouldn't drag it out.

They'll choose among Aranda, Venables, Pittman, and Franklin. I think USC reels in Fickel.

Can LSU afford O's buyout?

I ask because their fans sure talk like a frugal bunch.

Wonder why Venables would leave now after everything. Aranda will be on the list. I do not think Pittman would leave Arky for LSU nor do I think LSU has interest. Fickel is definitely on the list but I read he did not have interest in leaving the North East.

Franklin would be solid hire. Crisotbal has to be on the list.

Yep.

Most fans think we will pay the full buyout, which we most assuredly won't. Ed has given the Athletic Department plenty of ammo not to pay the full amount.

Out of the realistic candidates, it feels like Franklin is the fan favorite.

Lane is mixed.

BoB is pretty much not wanted by the majority.

Napier is mixed. I would lean not wanted.

Aranda would be welcome with open arms, but with some concern.

Fickell is usc bound imo.

I don’t really care. Just happy we get an actual search this time.

The recruiting violations have probably aged out at this point, so it's going to come down to whether they have proof that he's dipping his wick in the company ink. Which he likely is. Unless y'all just jump on the Title IX grenade, but LSU would probably be better off keeping him than doing something that extreme that will cost waaaaay more in the long run.

Theres a reason Ed O can’t walk out the front door without being photographed. There’s a reason we’re hearing all of these things coming out. He’s being watched like a hawk. He’s not getting his full buyout. We just fired a oline coach for cause. A guy on Os staff who he hired. The administration has ammunition for days.

Cristobal is an interesting add.

Aranda is too big of a gamble right now, IMO.

He's shown he can put together pretty good teams. Obviously on defense as well. I've always liked Aranda but LSU needs a more boisterous coach than Aranda IMO.

Most don’t see Cristobal as a realistic option. But who knows.

There’s also this sentiment that we should hire an offensive minded coach. I don’t care. I’m not melting over Aranda. Or melting over a coach just because he’s defensive minded.

Just hire Skip Holtz and save millions. He can recruit the same talent as Big Ed.

Call Penske today.

It has. And I think a lot of people have concerns about bringing in a guy who’s kind of a loose cannon.

But all of that will change I’m sure if he has a good season lol
