The biggest difference was the rest of the Big 12 wasn't trying to sign players who gambled on their team.
The rest of the SEC is trying to sign players who were just awarded a 5th year of eligibility.

If you go to the draft in any sport and sign a contract, eligibility should be terminated. Seems simple

It is simple. The NCAA fricked up not allowing the 2022 players to be grandfathered in to the 5 for 5 rule. Even the dumbest of people like me knew this would happen. Thankfully, it should be a one year thing. Now you hear Sankey talking about fairness. What was fair about excluding the 2022 class from the 5 for 5 rule which forced them to try to to go pro when they should have another year like everyone else? All of this is the NCAA's fault.

LSU does not give a shite. Lane does not give a shite.
