I will give anything to play South Carolina next Monday after that state turned its back on North Carolina and took our games away from our state
Nothing wrong with Greenville but it is not North Carolina and it is not a place where I wish to watch Carolina basketball
Maybe for once and all we can see who is the real Carolina and who is the imposter

If anyone was a Yankee it would be the ones who think that the federal government can tell states how to govern even though the majority of the people in the state want a law

I never been around as many New Yorkers and people from up North till I went to South Carolina

South Carolina prof buddy one quipped to me that DeBordieu just outside Georgetown was sixth borough of NYC. I think it is kind of a draw between us here.
I live near Charlotte and I would bet it is now 1/3 Yankee.

My paternal family had to stop over after the Virginia land played out.
But they got their arses to the S.C. Lowcountry ASAP. Some had to come up to the Piedmont after the Boll Weevil. Thank God they did not cross that line. I am a South Carolinian by birth and a Gamecock by the grace of god.
Before you talk too much about the Civil War, you should see the North Carolina monument at Gettysburg. It is the most moving and beautiful there.

There was really no ruling class here. No aristocracy like you had in Virgina and South Carolina
Very few large plantations. This is what made North Carolina superior in all ways and why they state has had success and will continue to outperform either Virgina and South Carolina
If you remove the Northern bedroom counties of Northern VA Virgina is behind North Carolina in almost every category

South Carolina has more history in a 30 mile radius than the entire state of NC. There are parts of SC like Mississippi for those who like a rural setting, there are parts in the upstate for those who like the mountains and there's the coast for a more beach/resort setting. And the state is still more Southern than NC will ever be.
